Welcome to Rebellion Fringe
A new independent guide to the gigs, bands and venues that fill Blackpool during Rebellion week.
Every August, thousands of punk fans arrive in Blackpool for Rebellion Punk Music Festival. Beyond the main festival, the town’s pubs, bars, clubs and independent venues come alive with their own gigs, aftershows, acoustic sets and one-off events.
That wider programme is the Rebellion Fringe: a loose, lively collection of independently organised shows happening around Blackpool alongside the main festival. It is not one single promoter or venue, and this website is an independent guide rather than an official Rebellion Festival service.
Why this site exists
Fringe information has traditionally been scattered across posters, venue pages, ticket sites and social media posts. That makes it easy to miss a band, overlook a new venue or discover a set time after it has already happened.
Rebellion Fringe brings those listings together in one mobile-friendly place. You can:
- search gigs by day, time, venue or band;
- compare venues in the schedule and map views;
- save an entire gig or one particular band set;
- build a personal line-up; and
- enable browser reminders before saved performances begin.
Built for the people moving between venues
The guide is designed primarily for phones because that is where most people will use it: outside a venue, between sets, or deciding where to go next. Festival days run from 06:00 until 06:00, keeping late-night and early-morning shows attached to the night they belong to.
Venues, promoters, bands and gig-goers can all help improve the guide by submitting listings. Venue operators can claim their venue and manage the information attached to it after approval.
Independent, community-minded and always improving
Set times and plans can change, so always check with the venue or ticket provider before travelling. If you spot something that needs correcting, contact us at info@rebellionfringe.co.uk.
This is the beginning. We hope the guide helps you discover another band, support another independent venue and fit even more punk into your Blackpool weekend.
